+CAD was given up shortly after his birth to a close family friend. Their reasons are unknown to CAD to this day. Similarly, CAD's final destination and other details of his early life were kept from them, for reasons relating to why they had to give him up. Eventually, he found a home with a Japanese couple, [[lore:cad:Saimus | Saburo and Hisa Saimu]] in Tacoma. The Saimus were not told any details about his biological parents and know very little about the process through which CAD made his way to them, most of which they did not tell CAD. CAD only knows that his father, Saburo, owed a considerable debt to an ork that could only be erased by choosing to raise a child for 18 years.

As well, His parents work schedule was that of a wage-slave and so he was forced to spend his early childhood years under the care of Renraku automated childcare. Because they did not officially have a child, the family was forced to "siphon" care from another family whose child was approved by their employer. This trick could only last so long and was replaced by school at the earliest possible time

+Initially, CAD's life was consumed by schooling. This was partly because the majority of his time was spent there and partly because his parents could not afford to entertain him in any other manner. Due to his corporate illegitimacy, CAD was unable to attend a corporate school system where his intelligence and skill may have been discovered and put to use. Instead, he was forced to attend a public school that accepted SINless students where he was taught by uninterested teachers and poorly made automated teaching programs. His classmates were mostly orks, trolls, and a few downtrodden humans and dwarves. The orks and trolls ignored the others except to push them around which caused the humans and dwarves to retreat home as soon as possible which resulted in no one making any friends.

His intelligence and technical aptitude found him circumventing the admittedly weak security on the school-owned commlinks to consume material meant for older students and eventually anything he could find on the Matrix. This is where his love of the Matrix began.
